Dishoom is an upcoming 2015 Indian comedy-thriller film directed by Rahul Dholakia and written by Rajat Arora. The film stars Varun Dhawan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Kalki Koechlin and Rishi Kapoor among others. It tells the story of a young man (Varun Dhawan) who is able to escape his mundane life in Dubai after having an interesting encounter with a con artist (Jacqueline Fernandez). He decides to finish her sentence of one year in India with her. The two embark on an adventure where they explore new things together as well as have to fight against the evils who try to pull them back from their journey. It was produced by Fox Star Studios and Jacqueline Fernandez Productions. This original-story will take you on a journey where two youngsters have to fight for their lives against the evil powers after being kidnapped. The film would also feature Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Kalki Koechlin. The makers of the film announced that it would go on floors in December 2014 and that the release date would be April 2015. The film was released on 12 April 2015 all over India. The film starts off with a man named Chadha (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) being released from prison. The film then shifts to Raghu Rai who is an aspiring photographer, but is unable to get his due respect. He ends up being blacklisted by everyone in his profession because he has taken shots of people who are not powerful. Then the film shows the life of Sehmat Khan (Jacqueline Fernandez), a con artist who runs off with money after committing her crime and lives in India under the false name of Shanti. She takes on this job since she wants to return to India and free her brother's debt from a loan shark named Dhanrajgir (Arun Mathur). Sehmat is then able to meet Raghu Rai to whom she tries to sell her story. Raghu refuses, but suggests to her that she should go and complete the sentence of one year in prison. Sehmat agrees and goes off to jail for one year under the name of Shanti. After one year, she is released from prison and meets Raghu Rai who informs her that he has found someone who can help her achieve her goal of freeing her brother's debt. She goes with these men who turn out to be Chadha and his gang, who kidnap Sehmat and take her to Dubai with them. The scene then shifts to Raghu Rai who starts searching for Sehmat. He receives a phone call from Dhanrajgir where he tells him that he has found Sehmat. Raghu then goes to the prison and speaks to Sehmat who informs him that she is alright and that she was not able to pay her brother's debt as she had been kidnapped by Chadha. She also informs him that Chadha has been arrested by Interpol, but she is being held captive in Dubai as Chadha had informed her that his gang would kill her if he is not released from jail within a week. Raghu, after hearing this, starts searching for a way to free her from Dubai.
